Today I was having one of those days where all I wanted to do was come home and hang out with my husband - that's it! No chores, no responsibilities, no exercising - just quality time vegging together. Aren't those days the best? Instead real life stepped in and said, "Hunny, it's only Tuesday so get your act together. There's still four more days until you get to have a lazy day in bed!" What's a girl to do when she has random voices in her head telling her what to do? Take some heavy medication I suppose, but instead I piled my hair in a bun, put on this lovely lace peplum tshirt and my first peeptoe shoes of the season then got myself out the door. For work I wore much simpler jewellery, but in the evening I couldn't resist styling this lace shirt with some funky turquoise jewellery that I received as a gift from a local artisan a few years ago (oh how I love one-of-a-kind unique pieces).

As I mentioned before, I am loving the colour mint this season. I wouldn't necessarily classify this shirt as mint but regardless I love the bright pop of colour and think the peplum is super cute!

What do you think of peplums? Do you find them difficult to wear?

    1. Thanks Mo! I like it too but am still on the search for the perfect peplum. I don't think the fit on this one is 100%. If you find any please let me know :)

  4. I love peplum, but I have yet to try it in lace. You really make me want to! This cut and color are great on you, and I love the necklace. Also, trust when I say I can relate to wanting just a single day to relax and do nothing. Oh well...what can you do, right?

    1. Thanks Alison! The bun is my go-to lazy girl hair style haha. I just got a couple inches chopped off so I am not quite able to rock a topknot anymore.

  9. That shirt is so gorgeous on you! I wish I could wear peplum (I've tried over and over - my torso is just so long that it looks strange) - I think it's such a pretty fit. You look great!

    1. Yeah it's definitely a difficult trend to wear! I love the way peplums look when done right but I had to try on quite a few options before finding this one. Thank you for your sweet comment, I really appreciate it :)
