I've been trying very hard not to shop for myself and just focus on Christmas gifts for others. Especially with our trip to Central America coming up, it doesn't make sense to be purchasing things for myself right now.
But as much as I know I should stay clear, I can't help but feel the pull toward fall and winter fashion. Does that happen to you too?? I won't even be sticking around for much of the season so rather than opening up my wallet I'm turning to online window shopping instead.
Lately two things have been catching my eye: fur vests and leather leggings. Here are a few looks I put together.
What's your opinion about fur vests and leather leggings? Since it's my first time playing with this trend, I'd personally stick to neutral colour palettes and add visual interest by wearing a variety of textures instead. This is one of my best suggestions for those who want to try out new trends without feeling too much out of your comfort zone.

Two of my faves too! I'm trying to find ways to wear my fur vest with my faux leather leggings. I adore that cozy gray cardi!
ReplyDeleteI think the key to wearing these two looks together without looking over-the-top is to wear boots with the outfit and, as always with leggings, a shirt that's long enough to cover your bum. I'm interested to see how you put your look together!! :)

Hahah Vicki you made me laugh out loud. Bears can be cute but I agree, maybe it's best to stay away from certain trends. I'm still on the hunt for a flattering fur vest myself!

DeleteThis is so funny - one of the student workers in our office is wearing a fur vest and leggings today and she looks amazing! It doesn't feel like it would be my style, but I'm actually warming up to it a lot!
ReplyDeleteI know, I was hesitant to get on board as well as I think my style is usually a bit more reserved. I don't know if I would wear a fur vest and leather leggings together, that's just me though, but I'm totally warmed up to those items individually!

DeleteIf it's fur, I LOVE it! PETA probably hates me lol. I really like both looks, The asymmetrical knit cardigan is très chic. Christmas shopping is so hard for me to do, I end up with more things for me than everyone else :(
